The Executive Committee for the years 1990 - 91 included:

Chairman: Mr Ray Knieriem   Vice-chairman: Empty / Mr Stan Wade.    Secretary: Mr Ray White.
Treasurer: Mrs E Bateman.    Warden: Mr Jack Armitage.
Other Executive/ General  members: Cicely Versey, Yvonne Parkes, K. Wade, J Clements, H. Hunter.
Others mentioned: Joyce Armitage, Marilyn Grant, Sylvia Barton.

A.G.M claimed that the Membership stood at 684. Records show it was around 671 but there are gaps in the record.

At the A.G.M held on the 6th of March 1990 an attendance record was taken and still exists. Twenty five names are listed. They wrote their own names so some of it is illegible.

Those present were: K.R.Webb (Kathy), C.J Versey (Cicely), B. Leirie??, B.M. Gibbons, L. Dunstall. J.S.Clements (Joyce), D.K. Garfield, ?????? (possibly Yvonne Parkes as she was there but didn't sign in), V. White (Vera), R.B. Knieriem (Ray), L. Lovett-Campbell, Helen Hunter, Kath Wade, Stan Wade, Pam Ledingham, Emma Arbery, David Jary, Sheila Jary, Denis Gillard, Christine Foley, Thelma Grey, Sheila Reeves, Jean Lock.

 H&D.C.A Highlights (taken from the minutes):

  1. Peter Threadgold had resigned as chairman weeks after the 1989 A.G.M and so the Vice-chairman Ray Knieriem had stepped in. This left the Vice-chairman's position empty.
  2. A garden strimmer (still working in 2022), a toasted sandwich maker (still working in 2022), a tea urn (still working in 2022) and a lawn mower (unknown location since sometime before  2002) had been brought.
  3. The open day (in Dec 1989) had welcomed between 300 and 350 people and considered a major P.R success. this years "open Day" was suggested for 12th of May.
  4. The roof in Room A was leaking but got repaired as did  4 other sections.
  5. "Wilson hall" (Hall 1) had new lighting. It had met with approval by groups.
  6. The "playschool" wanted toilets meant just for children.
  7. "Pigeon holes" for groups post was suggested.
  8. April 7th and 8th would be the days for "spring cleaning"
  9. In May the Community Centre was used as a polling station
  10. The "new plans" for the Community Centre involved putting on an "extension"
  11. The W.C.C.S returned to Hythe and used a second floor office at 16-20 South street (part of the "South Street Centre")as their base. They also had 2 Eling lane, Totton.
  12. Centre would close for Christmas between Sat the 22nd of Dec 1990 and Tuesday the 2nd of Jan 1991.

Almost all of the Executive Meeting minutes for this year are lost / missing. So after the Feb 1990 assume any not listed are missing. The minutes from the A.G.M were reconstructed from attendees memories as they weren't written down at the time.
